Equine Therapy w/Special Equestrians
Join us as we participate in groundwork with the therapy horses from Special Equestrians, a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) International Premier Accredited Center. This will provide a unique opportunity to engage with horses from the ground (no riding), helping us to learn about ourselves and our behavior patterns as well as build rapport with the animals. They provide impartial feedback to our body language, non-verbal communication, and emotions, ones we may not even be aware of. We will also be introduced to the fundamental techniques of horsemanship.
In addition to groundwork, we will also hold a recovery meeting during or at the conclusion of our session.
All walks of recovery are welcome. Please wear appropriate attire, including sturdy, closed-toe shoes and warm layers as the arena and stables are unheated.
This event is limited to 15 participants. Special Equestrians waivers must be completed prior to participating.
