“The world needs people who retreat from the world in order to see it more clearly.” ―
Recovery from substance use is much more than relapse prevention. It is a holistic process in which participants reclaim a meaningful life. Sync Recovery Community events encourage the importance of social connectedness, spiritual principles, health and wellness, and service opportunities. SRC’s 4 core components are evidence-based modalities used to maintain long-term sobriety, broad enough to individualize and create multiple pathways in which our participants cultivate a balanced and rewarding lifestyle of recovery.
This retreat is based on Sync Recovery’s four core components with something for everyone. Activities include hiking, bonfires, spiritual and creative activities, quiet time, and meals together. We are asking retreaters to assist with meal prep and clean-up as part of the service component.
We are thrilled for this opportunity to spend the weekend together. Check-in is at 5 PM on Friday and check out is Sunday 12 PM. Please plan to stay for the entire retreat. We will have meals and bunk in the building known as Turning Point. Rooms are double occupancy. There are sinks in each room and 3 shared bathrooms in the bunkhouse and 2 in the dining hall. If you can not stay overnight, you may sign up for any or all of the individual activities throughout the weekend. Separate events will be posted on the website with separate registrations.
Since 1942, Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center has provided a place for rest and renewal to pilgrims along life’s journey. With retreats, hospitality, gorgeous vistas, and the sacred grounds have blessed, and continue to bless, countless lives.
Thank you to Northampton County for their belief in action-based peer support as a pathway to long-term recovery and for making this retreat possible for our recovering community.
