Creativity Night: Pumpkin Bird Feeders

Pumpkins spend all summer ballooning into huge, majestic, super-squash, then come autumn most are made into soup or carved into a lantern at Halloween. These  heavyweights of the fruit world can often reach 50 lbs. and have a rigid shell that’s great for hacking into. This month we will be carving out a new purpose for your pumpkin, as a bird feeder, serving as a natural dish for birdseed and a good source of nutrients for birds.

Pumpkins and carving equipment will be provided.
