Hike-Orchard Loop via Hawk Falls Trail

Join us on the trail! Hiking supports recovery by reducing stress, boosting mood, and building connection with nature and others. Whether you’re new to recovery or well along the path, this is a chance to move, breathe, and grow together.

Generally considered a moderately challenging route, Orchard Loop takes an average of 1 h 21 min to complete. This loop passes Hawk Falls, one of the most popular natural features in the park. In addition you will also travel through stands of hemlock and dense rhododendron

To reach the Orchard Loop trail via the Hawk Falls trailhead parking, park at the designated parking areas on PA-534, just east of the turnpike overpass, near the Boulder Field parking area in Hickory Run State Park. From the parking area, the Hawk Falls trail begins on the south side of PA-534, about 150 feet west of the parking lots.

All walks of recovery are welcome. Please wear appropriate attire; bring water & snacks to fuel your body. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
