Intro to Rock Climbing w/NEMG
Learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing with PCGI certified guides! This is Northeast Mountain Guiding‘s most popular course and participants always go back for more! You must present a photo ID and sign a release waiver to participate in this event.
The day kicks off hiking a short but steep trail to the climbing sight. There we’ll go over basic climbing gear, safety, movement on the rock/climbing techniques, belaying, and more. Then we’ll put it all together – climbing on cliffs that’ll ROCK your socks off! 🧗♀️🧗♂️
What to bring: Lunch, snacks, 2-3 liters of water, sunscreen, bug spray, personal first-aid items (EpiPen, inhaler, meds, etc.), daypack
What to wear: Dress for the weather but keep in mind flexibility for climbing. The trail to the cliff is short and steep so be sure to wear appropriate footwear for hiking. Climbing gear will be provided.
All walks of recovery are welcome! LEAVE NO TRACE: Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
