Activity Night at STR-Sound Bath

This month Sync and STR-Lehigh Valley  are offering a sound bath experience. Sound bath is a meditative modality where participants are immersed in soothing sounds and vibrations produced by instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. These sounds promote deep relaxation, reduce stress, and help quiet the mind.

For people with substance use disorder and mental health conditions, sound baths can be beneficial because they:

  • Help reduce anxiety and cravings by activating the parasympathetic nervous system.
  • Promote emotional healing and mindfulness, which are key in recovery.
  • Improve sleep and relaxation, reducing the risk of relapse.
  • Offer a non-invasive, holistic way to manage stress and emotions.

It’s a gentle, therapeutic tool that can support overall well-being in recovery.
