Love hiking with people who don’t mind stopping every 100 feet to look inside rotting logs or photograph spiders or identify flowers? Then we’re the crew for you! 📷🌼🕷🍄 This month’s Low Impact Hike w/Brenda, we will visit Fonthill Castle and then walk the trails.

Built between 1908-1912, Fonthill Castle was the home of Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930). This national historic landmark is a premier destination where people can explore art, history, and nature. The Fonthill Woodlands Project is an ongoing initiative to support and enhance the property’s historical, ecological, recreational, and cultural benefits. They have cleared trails, removed fallen trees, enhanced garden beds, cleaned the reflection pond and installed new plantings around its perimeter. Fonthill Castle is designated a National Historic Landmark, and the site is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

All walks of recovery are welcome. Please wear appropriate attire; bring water & snacks to fuel your body. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!

Limited to 12 participants. Please register each person separately.

This project is made possible through the Opioid Settlement Fund | Bucks County, PA.
