Valentine’s Day Bird LOVERS Hike
Want to be part of a global bird counting experience? Join us on one of the best bird watching trails at Lake Nockamixon State Park as we participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count. Each year people from around the world come together to watch, learn about, count, and celebrate birds. We will meet on Sunday, February 14th at 10 a.m. (meet at the hike location at 9:45 a.m.) and hike along Elephant Trail (moderately trafficked loop located near Perkasie, PA – rated as moderate) to a spot along the edge of Lake Nockamixon where we will sit and look for birds. Please bring a chair and/or a heavy blanket. This hike is suitable for beginners. We will hike, explore and identify birds until 12 p.m. There will be a Recovery Meeting half way through this event.
