Jim Roney’s “You Can Ukulele” at Change on Main
“There’s something about the ukulele that just makes you smile. It makes you let your guard down. It brings out the child in all of us.” – Jake Shimabukuro
Change on Main is hosting this workshop that is designed to introduce you to playing the Ukulele. This class covers getting to know the string note names, basic Ukulele tuning apps, 4 basic chords and the ability to read chord and song charts. A ukulele will be provided for this workshop. You will learn how hold a Ukulele, place your fingers for a chord on the fret board and properly strum the strings. A chord will be added to then learn changing from one chord to the next. You will learn how to read a song chart that uses the chords already learned. Also, you will learn tablature (a form of notation) that you can perform single note melody lines.
We are so fortunate to have Jim Roney leading this class. Jim is a local musician and music teacher. A Doylestown native, he has lived in Bucks County all his life.
