Intro to Rock Climbing w/Northeast Mountain Guiding

Learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing with professional guides! This is Northeast Mountain Guiding‘s most popular course and participants always go back for more! You must be 8 years of age or older to participate in this course.

The day kicks off on the grounds of Allamuchy Mountain State Park (40°55’10.7″N 74°44’57.2″W), where we’ll go over basic climbing gear, movement on the rock/climbing techniques, balance, body positioning, and knots. The 2nd part of the day we’ll put it all together – climbing on cliffs of various heights & rock types, and then moving on to belaying, and more climbing! 🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️

All walks of recovery are welcome. Please wear appropriate attire; bring water & snacks to fuel your body. Climbing gear will be provided.
