Beginner’s Hike Fulshaw Craeg Preserve
On Saturday, April 3rd, join us as we hike the trail! This hike is suitable for beginners and will begin promptly at 10 am & will end at approximately 2 pm. We will meet at 9:45 a.m at the Tylersport Volunteer Fire Co 125 Ridge Rd, Tylersport, PA 18971 parking lot. We will incorporate stretching before & after the hike. There will be a Recovery Meeting at mid-point of the hike.
This Natural Lands Trust property, the 299-acre Fulshaw Craeg Preserve is located in Salford Township, Montgomery County. Home to a variety of rare ferns and wildflowers, the preserve also provides a habitat for threatened or endangered butterfly species. This is a lovely preserve offering many of natures beautiful gifts and you will not be disappointed!
This can be a very muddy hike in early spring so plan accordingly. Please bring water and snacks to fuel your body, a face mask for the protection of those who feel vulnerable to the virus and by chance if we are not able to remain “socially distanced.” Please wear sturdy close toed shoes and dress warmly in layers.
