Through a short, slow walk — or simply sitting and taking in the surroundings — participants are invited to engage their senses, find moments of calm and experience the benefits of spending time in nature. Part of Pennsylvania’s Recovery in Nature initiative, this event recognizes National Recovery Month and Suicide Prevention Month. It highlights nature as a resource for mental health and overall well-being and for individuals on journeys of recovery from substance use disorder or problem gambling.\nVeterans, their families, the recovery community, and all Pennsylvanians are welcome to participate.\nLackawanna State Park is located within DDAP’s Region 9 Regional Recovery Hub.
