DESCRIPTION:Hike through the Lehigh Gap on the Restoration Loop and learn about the history of the corridor and ongoing ecological restoration efforts. The distance is a 2.2 mile loop with a difficulty level of easy/moderate. Points of interest along the D&L Trail and the LNE trail include grassland restoration, nesting orioles, warblers, tree swallows, and bluebirds in nesting boxes, as well as amphibians in the springs and an occasional sighting of a bald eagle.\nFeel your heart open, and your senses come alive as we hike along the river, taking in beautiful views while stopping at signage\nalong the trail that educates us about local history along the LNE (a former railroad path for the Lehigh and New England line).\nRecovery happens in connection—come walk, talk, and grow with us.\nAll fitness levels are welcome\nRecovery Sharing will be held at our midpoint with time for reflection and recovery-focused\ndiscussion, allowing participants to share experiences, celebrate progress, and strengthen their\nrecovery support network.\nMeet at the Osprey House Visitor Center.\nClosed-toe shoes/hiking boots recommended. Please dress comfortably for weather.\nEach participant must register separately.
