DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Sync! We can use your help in all sorts of ways including public service opportunities and behind the scenes including; Community Outreach, Event Planning, Facilitating Recovery Adventures and other activities, Fundraising and Communications Committees, Administrative tasks, and Community Service Projects. We’re looking forward to your creativity and learning ways that keep you passionate about your recovery.\nThe first step is to register and participate in the Volunteer Information Session. These are typically held on the second Monday of each month in the evening and the second Tuesday of each month at noon. During the session you will discover ways you can share your enthusiasm and gifts of recovery and the importance of Recovery Community Organizations, learn about our mission and why we do what we do, and have the opportunity to ask any questions.\nUpon completion of this information session:\n\nA Volunteer Application Form and Instructions for Background Check will be sent to you\nPlease complete the Application, and submit it with the Background Check to info@syncrecovery.org ( mailto:info@syncrecovery.org )\nIf you have not already, participate in (5) Sync events.\nAttend Sync Volunteer Orientation: Dive deeper into Sync’s Four Core Components, code of conduct, policies and procedures; including confidentiality policy, and discussion about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.\nCreate an elevator pitch about why Sync is important to your recovery that you can share with your peers.\nMeet with Sync Representative for a One-on-one Volunteer Placement Session\nBegin service in activities and committees you are passionate about!! \nSubmit CPR & First Aid Certification or complete appropriate training.\nBe familiar with the use of overdose prevention supplies.\nIf you are interested in leading activities and events complete Sync Facilitator Training and identify as a person in recovery or advocate for 18 months.\n\nIf you have questions or need to reschedule please email info@syncrecovery.org.\n\nPlease create a profile ( https://syncrecovery.org/add-profile/ ) or log in ( https://syncrecovery.org/wp-login.php ) to register for this event.\n
